Lalbaugcha Raja which is Marathi word लालबागचा राजा, that is the very well known Sarvajanik Ganapati, that is decorated and celebrated at Lalbaug, in Mumbai during Ganesh Chaturti festival. Lal bagh ka raja idol is kept for public display and to be worshiped by peoples for Eleven days thereafter it is immersed on the auspicious day of Anant Chaturdashi.

Anant Chaturdashi is the last day of Ganpati, when it is immersed on the river or water by Peoples.  It is believed that this Idol of Lord Ganesha is Navsacha Ganpati in Marathi. it means that the one who fulfills all wishes and hence over 1.5 million people visit this Ganesh Pandal daily during the 10 day Ganesha festival.

It means, they show Lalbaugcha Raja's first look and photoshoot that is organized by the Lalbaug Sarvajanik Ganeshostav mandal. Last year the ceremony took place on Thursday, September 5, 2013. This unveiling of Lalbaugcha Raja is covered every year by all national and regional channels.

The Mandal, formerly known as Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, Lalbaug was founded in 1934 at Lalbaug Market.  It is popular in whole India and so many peoples comes from different part of India to pray at Lalbaugcha Raja idol.
